Preparandkurs programmering A/1

This course is for you who don’t have a degree in Programming 1/A and want to apply to one of Nackademins IT programs with Programming 1 as an admission requirement. If you pass the final exam, you will be eligible for Nackademin’s courses with programming 1 as an admission requirement.

About the course

The course is in Phyton and introduces fundamental programming concepts and aims to prepare students for more advanced programming studies. The focus is on understanding the semantic meaning of program statements and programming concepts, as well as how simple principles can be combined to solve complex problems. The course also aims to strengthen the student’s ability to navigate the subject independently moving forward.

Form of study: Online self-study course

Duration: 30-40 hours. You need at least 4 weeks to complete the course.

Prerequisites: None

Target Audience: Programming courses at Nackademin and basic technical roles.

Examination: Written examination

Learning Objectives

After completing the course, the student should have:

Knowledge of: Computational problems and how programming can be used as a tool to find solutions.

Skills in: Writing, debugging, and understanding code, as well as using code libraries.

Competence to: Combine simple programming concepts to solve more complex problems.

Course Outline

The course is structured into 9 modules (modules 0-8). To progress, you need to complete a quiz at the end of each module, which will unlock the next one.

• Module 0: The Maze
• Module 1: Hello World
• Module 2: Variables and Program Statements
• Module 3: Understanding Datatypes
• Module 4: Loops and Conditionals
• Module 5: Functions and Documentation
• Module 6: Classes and Objects
• Module 7: Libraries, Files, and Errors
• Module 8: Building a Maze Solver

In Module 8, you’ll integrate the core concepts covered in the course to create a fully functional program. Upon reaching this module, you will also gain access to the course exam. After successfully passing the course exam, you will complete the course and receive your certificate of completion via email.

Provet

Provet stänger den 31 mars. Du måste alltså göra provet absolut senast 31 mars för att hinna göra det i tid. Du har möjlighet att göra provet igen om du inte klarar det första gången. Vi kommer att registrera provresultatet i din ansökan V.14.

Efter avslutad kurs och godkänt provresultat får du ett intyg på att du har genomfört kursen. Intyget kan användas för Nackademin utbildningar. Vid frågor om intyget kan gälla på andra skolor, vänligen kontakta respektive skola då det är upp till dem att bestämma om de accepterar intyget. Intyget levereras via mejl.
