Please note that you can only accept one training. When you have accepted the education you want to attend, you must then actively decline the education you do not want to attend. If you do not respond yes or no before the last day of deadline, you will lose your place. Once you have declined an education, it cannot be changed.   You only have the option of taking one full-time course with us at Nackademin.

If you choose to accept a vocational school program, you still keep your reserve place for the other programs. If you are later offered a place on the program for which you currently stand as a reserve, you can choose to accept it instead. Here you can read more about the process

Your high school years should not have to define the rest of your life. If you lack the necessary qualifications, there are other ways to be admitted: qualification tests, preparatory courses, the 20% rule, or real competence.   Here you can read more about the different options and what to do if you lack the necessary qualifications.

Preparation course is a course you can take with us at Nackademin if you lack grades and have previous knowledge of one of the special admission requirements. The course concludes with an exam, and upon passing the exam, you become eligible in the subject. Completion of the course does not guarantee placement or priority in our programs; rather, it provides you with the opportunity to become eligible at Nackademin. The requirements for acceptance vary depending on the specific educational program. All our vocational school programs require basic eligibility, which means that you need to have at least 2250 second uppendary school credits and passed grades in English 5, Mathematics 1 and Swedish 1. Each vocational school program also requires special eligibility. Therefore, it’s important to verify the specific requirements for the program you are interested in. Each education has its own unique eligibility requirements in addition to the basic eligibility. It is either grades in a specific high school course or requirements for professional experience. Read more about each education’s special eligibility requirements

Basic eligibility applies to all Nackademin’s university of applied sciences courses. To be eligible for one of Nackademin’s university of applied sciences courses, you must:  

• Have a upper secondary school diploma from upper secondary school or municipal adult education with at least 2250 points and passed grades in English 5, Mathematics 1 and Swedish 1
• Has a Swedish or foreign education that corresponds to the requirements in point 1.
• Is resident in Denmark, Finland, Iceland or Norway and is eligible for the corresponding education there.
• Through Swedish or foreign education, practical experience or due to some other circumstance, you have the conditions to make use of the education. Read more under experience competence.

Yes, all of Nackademin’s Vocational College programs and online courses qualify for student loans through CSN.

The study declaration means that you promise and certify to CSN that you are studying. This is usually done under “my pages” on csn.se. In that case, no written certificates, signatures or stamps are usually needed. You simply push a button. In special cases, CSN may ask you to submit the study declaration in another way, for example by filling in a form. Then CSN will give you instructions on how to do it.

You can apply for study funds when you have been offered a place on a course, but you will not receive any payment until you have submitted the study declaration and that we have reported that you have started your studies. Transition study support is available to those who want to further their education in your professional field, or to a completely new profession. A quarter of your education is spent at a real workplace, known as an LIA internship. There, under experienced supervision, you will apply theory to practical work experience, and develop, deepen, and consolidate your knowledge. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the challenges in your professional role, make valuable contacts, and get to know the industry on a deeper level.

Nackademin’s vocational school program and online courses are between 1-2.5 years long. Nackademin’s yh courses are between 8-16 weeks, depending on your pace of study.

Your education at Nackademin is so reliable that over 90% of students get a job after graduation.   Internship is an important component of our vocational school programs where you spend a quarter of your study time at a company. This has been a winning combination for both students and employers – students get jobs with great certainty and companies have the opportunity to hire employees with the right and up-to-date skills directly from business.

All of our distance learning programs are 100% full-time and you need to spend around 40 hours a week on your studies. Project work, discussions, seminars and lectures take place in real time in which you need to actively participate. You will have scheduled teaching with several trainers who come directly from the industry. Project work takes place in your base group during normal working hours, i.e. Monday-Friday sometime between 8.00-17.00.

You can apply to the online courses with either study skills or experience competence skills. When applying with study skills, Noroff evaluates your Upper Secondary school grades, you can see which subjects you need to have passed to meet the grade requirements. When applying with real competence, Noroff checks, among other things, grades from Upper Secondary school and/or other educations, CV, work certificate and a personal motivation letter of about 250 words in English in which you justify why you applied for the education. To apply with experience competence, you must be/will be 23 years old before the training starts.

All our online courses are conducted in English. It is therefore required that you have good knowledge and understanding of the English language in order to complete the training.

The online courses via Nackademin/Noroff have no scheduled lessons, which means you can study when and where you want. In a distance education, teaching is conducted remotely with scheduled lessons where you need to be present digitally. The online courses are in English and distance courses are in Swedish.

An online education at Noroff via Nackademin suits you who want a little extra freedom and flexibility during your studies. All online courses consist of digital content in the form of pre-recorded lessons and/or digital study material that students can access anytime and anywhere. The courses are generally shorter than traditional university of applied sciences courses and can be taken at full or half-time – perfect for those who want to combine studies with work or other fun!

The courses you can study via Nackademin are all 1 or 2 years long if you study them at full speed. If you choose to study part-time, the study time is doubled, i.e. a 1-year education is read in 2 years with part-time studies.

After completing the course, you will receive a certificate that shows the competence you have obtained. You can then include this on your CV, making you more attractive to potential employers and for your next job.

How much time you need to spend depends on the study pace of the course. If it passes at 50%, it means that you need to spend 20 hours a week on the course in order to pass it. You can find the pace of study and the structure it has under the respective course page.

You can absolutely study several courses at the same time. Sometimes, however, it can be difficult to combine several courses with work, please review how much time you have to spend in order to recieve the best results.

The absolute safest way to recruit from Nackademin is to accept an LIA intern or lecture at our courses, then you get direct contact with our students and also increase your employer branding. We are keen that our students complete their education, therefore you cannot recruit from our existing students before they have graduated. However, we can recommend our alumni network where all former students are included, a perfect opportunity to invite to recruitment events, webinars or the like.

All companies have different needs, and in order for your team to get the right skills, we can develop company training courses that suit you. The length varies from a one-day course to a longer training, you decide.

Accepting an LIA intern is easy. By signing up for our industry days, you can meet all our students for one day and create valuable contacts for the next LIA period. It is also possible to contact the education director for the education you are interested in.

All of our distance learning programs offer you as a student an independent and structured form of education where teaching takes place in a digital classroom. Our vocational school distance learning programs are full-time studies that offer a learning environment with 2-3 lectures a week led by industry experts and the rest of the time is self-study. Here you are expected to attend scheduled live lessons and contribute actively in group discussions and workshops, you also get access to digital material that you can take part in when it suits you.   Please note that the structure of our distance learning courses differs, it is therefore important to read through the information under each program page.
