Data analysis

With the continuously growing amount of data that companies generate and collect, data analysts are becoming increasingly valuable for analyzing and deriving insights from this data flood. As a data analyst, you play a central role in the company, regardless of industry, where your knowledge will help business leaders to make data-driven decisions, which will make you a very valuable asset.
The Education
Today’s job market demands skilled data analysts as one of the most requested competencies. These experts possess a dynamic ability to work with both numbers and data programs while excelling in strong visual and verbal presentation skills. As a data analyst, you can work for large international companies handling large amounts of data or for small companies needing to organize and model monthly sales figures. You can find opportunities in industries such as finance, medicine, marketing, and social media.
Throughout the program, you will learn to collect, organize, and interpret data to answer specific questions valuable to the business. You will perform descriptive and diagnostic analyses that reveal what happened and why. At the same time, you will perform predictive and prescriptive analysis, providing insights into future events and recommending valuable actions for the business.
You will learn data visualization, transforming raw data into understandable graphics. In the workplace, this skill enables you to communicate effectively with senior executives, boards, and others who may not have the technical expertise required to understand raw data and numbers.
Career opportunities
Many choose to combine data analysis with other areas of interest where the role is needed. You can find opportunities in industries such as finance, medicine, marketing, and social media. After completing the program, you can find yourself in roles such as:
- Data Analyst
- Business Intelligence Analyst
- Market Research Analyst
- Data Quality Analyst
- Data and Reporting Analyst

The Difference of Studying at Noroff through Nackademin
When you study a program at Noroff through Nackademin, you combine the best of two worlds: an international, high-quality Norwegian education and a Swedish support team that’s with you every step of the way.
The teaching takes place entirely online via Noroff’s platforms, with their instructors and course materials. CSN and Payment – What You Need to Know
Noroff’s programs have tuition fees, and you will need to apply for both study grants and loans from CSN – including the loan for the tuition fee.
Important to keep in mind:
-
CSN does not pay Noroff directly. You will receive the funds yourself and are responsible for paying the tuition fee to the school.
-
Since Noroff is a foreign institution, this is classified as studies abroad.
Tip! Contact CSN early to check what applies to your specific situation – preferably before accepting your place of study.
Studying at a Foreign School – How It Works
When you study through Noroff, you are formally enrolled at a foreign education provider. This means a few practical differences:
-
CSN: You apply for student aid for studies abroad.
-
Grades: You will receive Norwegian grades/diplomas upon graduation.
-
Payment: You are responsible for paying the tuition fee directly to Noroff.
-
Support: Nackademin serves as your Swedish point of contact for guidance and practical matters.
Course Content and Educational Level
Noroff’s programs are at a post-secondary level and are designed in close collaboration with industry. They include both theoretical studies and practical projects with a clear progression.
Upon graduation, you will receive a diploma from Noroff, which is equivalent to a qualified vocational education. This makes you attractive on both the Swedish and international job markets.
English – What’s Required?
Since the instruction is entirely in English, it’s important that you feel comfortable with:
-
Reading course materials and instructions in English
-
Writing assignments, reports, and projects in English
-
Communicating with teachers and fellow students in English
You don’t need to be completely fluent – but a solid foundation in English is essential to benefit from the program.
